The Gates will be unfurled in Central Park, New York City on February 12, 2005, weather permitting, and will remain through February 27, 2005.
I took these pictures on February 15, 2005 - I remember taking the day from work so I could go into the city to see this. I'm so glad I did.

This project was designed by artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude. Walking thru Central Park on a beautiful sunny day taking in all the excitement and curiosity of "The Gates"; These saffron colored fabric panels meandering throughout the park. Many, many people were enjoying this day as well.
It really was a great experience.

I went back into my album after watching the documentary on "The Gates"...I took away the framing on many of the pictures that originally I put on.
