Washington, DC in the winter - Dec 2009

Okay - I decided to head to DC during the Christmas holidays to see what I could see - I loved being there at Cherry Blossom Festival time so I had to go back - well, let me tell you - it was freeeeeezing cold. Winds whipped at 40 mph and the temps were like 0 degrees - well it felt like that to me - BUT - the sun was shining bright - the sky so blue - the people so friendly - I just loved it. The snow was washed away by a previous rainstorm the week before so no snow on the monuments... come take a trip with me as I show you a few more photos.

This city is a most fantastic and fabulous place to visit. I've been here only twice now and its only a beginning for me - I will go back once the weather has warmed up a bit - I've only seen the tip of the iceberg - I've got lots more I want to see.
