Arcosanti Urban Laboratory, Montezuma Castle & Well

Arcosanti was a real trip back to the 80s. It is an urban project set in 1969 to build a community that can exist in harmony with nature.

Montezuma Castle, 20-room structure, build by Sinaguan Indians 1000 years ago. Their culture misteriously dissapeared after 300 years of existance, leaving no records. They used a natural well to irrigate their crops. The well is a collapsed roof of a large limestone cavern, with over a million gallons of warm 75 degree water flowing from underground each day, it provides a true oasis for wild life in the middle of the desert.
