- Why I took my locs down?
Well, I inspired my mom to go natural and I really wanted us to share a journey together. I was getting tired of my locs even though I only had them for three years. My mom going natural kinda gave me an excuse to take them down.
A hip length locker once told me that I needed to experience my loose hair first before locing because one day I will be curious about my texture... and she was right! I did the BC and started locing the same day.
How did I take my locs down?
I washed and deep conditioned my locs, sprayed them with a mixture of aloe vera gel, castor oil and water, cut the tip of the loc and picked them out with a large safety pin. Half way through, I decided to cut my locs into a bob for time purposes.
I didn't take any pics of the "take down" b/c i didn't want to look at pictures of my cut up locs. I'd rather see pics of my lovely locs still attached to my head:)
