The impressive 16th century church, dedicated to S tMary, has as crenellated tower with gunloops, and i still used as a parish church. the kirk was a collegiate establishment, founded by Malcolm Lord Fleming in 1545, although it probably, incorporates older work. It was restored in the 1870s and again in the 1930s, and there is a good modern stained glass.
