Castle of Mey 2005

Castle of Mey, originally called Barrogil was the seat of the Sinclairs, Earls of Caithness. Orininally late-sixteenth century, probably c.1566-72. After falling into neglect the castle was bought by and repaired by the late Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.
