Minus Sound Research (MSR) explores other artistic outlets of musicians in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina. These are photos from the 3rd exhibition at Wootini Gallery in Carr Mill Mall, Carrboro NC. Opening night was October 10, 2008.
I arrived almost an hour into the event, and the gallery was PACKED. After a half hour or so, the crowd thinned out enough to shoot some non-flash photos. This year's artists, best known as musicians to most of us, are: Maria Albani (Schooner, Organos), Laura Ballance (Superchunk), Anna Bullard (Pox World Empire), Catherine Edgerton (Midtown Dickens), John Harrison (North Elementary, Hundred Air), Reid Johnson (Schooner) and Nathan Oliver White (Nathan Oliver).
