Not too long ago, Taylors Island's only public establishment was a general store,(groceries, hardware, antiques, bar/restaurant, gas station, post office). It was for the locals. It was destroyed by a hurricane. :((( Now it's a blue blood blow boat restaurant (hah!!..nice alliteration).
