Celebrating National Immunization Week 2012 with the Southern Nevada Health District and other community partners, members of the 501st made an appearance at the event. Along with mingling with the crowd, children who received their shots and got their "Passport to Good Health" stamped got their photos taken with the Troopers.

200 members of the 501st Garrison marched in the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. Grand Marshall for the event was none other than George Lucas himself. Pictures were taken from several sources on the Internet.

Christian Hayden's 1st birthday party. His mom and dad came as Princess Leia and Darth Vader. RJ and Randy went as a Stormtroopers, Ray appeared as a Jedi Knight. (This was RJ's first event in Stormtrooper armor)

To celebrate the Las Vegas Weekly's 7th Anniversary, members of the Neon City Garrison were invited to their party at the Lite Nightclub in the Bellagio Casino. People who have been featured in their magazine were invited to attend.

"Guys Night Out 2005" at the Lied Memorial Boy's & Girl's Club, Las Vegas, Nevada. Representing the Neon City Garrison at the event were Damien M. (Darth Vader), Dan G. (Anakin), Tim A. (Stormtrooper), John M. (Sandtrooper), and Ray C. (Death Star Trooper).

The Las Vegas Weekly magazine invited members of the Neon City Garrison to a photo shoot for an issue that will coincide with the Episode III premiere. After interviewing the members, photos were taken in "civilian" clothes; then in costume.

Members of the Neon City Garrison helped launch the new toy line for Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The Super Wal-Mart on Charleston & Decatur hosted Darth Vader, Jedi Knights, Stormtroopers, along with starfighter pilots representing the Empire and the Rebel Alliance.

The Neon City Garrison teamed up with the Southern California Garrison to represent the 501st at ShoWest 2005. George Lucas made an appearance to promote Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. LucasFilm brought their own Vader and we provided 21 Stormtroopers, an Imperial Officer, and a Death Star Trooper.

Mr. Lucas was kind enough to pay us a visit and thank us in person. We were lucky enough to take a few pictures with him.

The Childrens Heart Foundation walk was a fundraising event held at the Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas, Nevada. Members of the Neon City Garrison and a local Star Trek Chapter made a donation to the cause and participated in the 1.3 mile walk around the mall.

Tim and RJ dressed as Jedi Knights, Ray as a Stormtrooper, all help 2-year old Christian celebrate his birthday. The young "padawan" takes his lightsaber in hand and gets his first lesson from the two Neon City Garrison Jedis.

Members of the Neon City Garrison held a "movie night" - complete with popcorn, candy and soda - at Shade Tree Shelter. Star Wars Episode IV - A New Hope was screened by over 40 children and adults while two Sandtroopers and a Rebel Fleet Trooper mingled with the kids.

Where else but Las Vegas can you find a wedding where the bride is given away by Darth Vader, the groom has three Stormtroopers as groomsmen, Boba Fett and an Imperial Grand Amiral are witnesses, and Elvis presides over the ceremony?

Congratulations to Albin & Kathy on their wedding! Albin is the founder of the Fighting 501st and it was an honor to have been a part of their special day.

Our "trooping" event at the Virgin Mega Store located in Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas, to celebrate the release of the original trilogy DVD set.

Characters included Darth Vader, Stormtroopers / Sandtrooper, a TIE Fighter Pilot, and Jedi Knights. Neon City Garrison members - Damien, Ryan, Barry (his inaugural trooping event), Greg, James "Noc", Dan, Tim Anadon and Ray. Tim Avance was also in attendance for "wrangling duties" and picture taking, along with Tim Anadon's two sons.

Two-year old Skylar is a little girl who underwent an organ transplant. Unfortunately, her body is rejecting the new organ and she is undergoing more medical care.

Since little Skylar has ongoing medical expenses, members of the Neon City Garrison donated their time to raise money to help. Donations for a raffle yielded over $1,500 over the weekend. Many organizations and individuals donated prizes for the drawing. The grand prize would be a two-hour appearance by the Neon City Garrison in full costume for the winner.

In celebration of Nevada Reading Week, several members of the Neon City Garrison visited Frank Kim Elementary School. In addition to greeting kids and signing autographs, the members impressed upon the students the importance of reading and also read books out loud.

Members included Damien (Vader), Mark (TIE Fighter Pilot), Ryan (Stormtrooper), Tim A. (Sandtrooper), and Ray (X-Wing Pilot).

The same day as the Cashman Field event, several members of the Neon City Garrison met to "troop" at Fremont Middle School. The Baker Family Resource Center was holding their first annual Christmas party for children and families that they serve.

Lord Vader was escorted by two Stormtroopers and a TIE Fighter pilot. Jedi Knights were also in attendance.

Pictures of our Trooping event at Cashman Field in Las Vegas, NV. The Neon City Garrison purchased some toys with the proceeds from our IGT event to donate for the Christmas party. In addition, many of the Garrison members had mini toy drives of their own. A total of 287 toys were given to needy kids at the event.

The Neon City Garrison was well represented at this event, along with several friends and relatives who put on various costumes. In addition, my son RJ had his first event in costume as a Jedi Knight trainee, or "padawan".

Our appearance at Opportunity Village and the "Magical Forest" during the Christmas season. Although predominantly Jedi for this appearance, we did have a Stormtrooper and a Sith Lord.

Charity event for "Positively Kids" held at the Galleria Mall in Henderson, NV. Positively Kids is raising money to build a rehabilitation center for medically fragile kids and terminally ill children. Visitors donated quarters which were then placed in rows on the floor.

My wife, Lea, volunteered the Neon City Garrison and the event was coordinated by Ilene of Positively Kids.
