Help me! Im thinking 4b-4a mix? The shrinkage, and small coils got me thinking straight 4b. But recently ive been seeing something a little different going on with the curl pattern.
Thooughts and comments greatly appreciated!!! - Album was created 1 year 7 months ago and modified 1 year 7 months ago

MY nappyversary - Jun 1, 2011
-
Ok so it's been a year since I BC'd. I was apl length relaxed (read texlaxed) in June 2009. I decided to transition and my hair didn't seem to grow because all my new growth was shrinking like crazy. About March or April of 2010 I did a major trim of my relaxed ends. So I was about shoulder length all around the back was all natural. I did the Big Chop about 2 months after that. I was shocked and excited. WARNING if you are a miltant natural the next part will offend you!!!! Then I realized wtf I don't have curly natural hair. I mean I was pretty sure I wasn't in the 3 range as far as hair type but I thought 4a. I thought wash and go's were gonna be my thing. I realized nope! I have 4b maybe a couple places of 4a but mostly 4b so its already thick add to that shrinkage. I wasn't very happy with my hair. I liked blowing it out for a big fro and straighter braid outs. But I had just made a big move overseas and for the first time was living with my boyfriend. I didn't have time for hair. I just let it be and guess what? It actually grew. I wasn't DC as much as I used to, wasn't wearing a scarf, wasn't stretching the length, no henna either. Basically I was tripping. I have toyed with the idea of texturizer or texlaxing very lightly but after I measured my hair today I realized im back at APL. So I figure I can stick it out untill 2013 (im in a waist length challenge) and see what happens. So continue this journey with me...toddles! - Album was created 8 months ago and modified 7 months ago
