When their land is confiscated by the corrupt Boss Hogg on the pretext of Uncle Jesse's moonshining business, Bo, Luke and Daisy sense a bigger conspiracy--namely, a county-wide land grab that will dispossess all of Hazzard's residents and pave the way for the Boss's planned strip mine; but the Dukes aren't going to take Boss Hogg's abuse lying down.

Here's what I know....
Rosco is still up in the air. Cooter is undecided, (our own Kevin Heffernan is in consideration) Enos, I'm pretty sure, is gonna be Michael Weston (from Garden State)
I just got down here to LA, and don't know what's going on with cars. I was under the impression that the studio already had a bunch of '69 Chargers. I know nothing about Boss's car, other than we have a few very funny scenes revolving around that white convertible.
As far as locations, I don't know. You'd have to ask Jay, and he's pretty busy right now. The rest of us are locked in a hotel room trying to make the script kick ass.

I know the smaller parts are being cast- don't know if they have been set yet.

Since we're only writers on this big studio movie (except Jay who is directing) we're sort of left out of the inner circle.
Unfortunately, we're just locked in a room to work on the script.
Wish I could have helped more. Anyway, heading down to Baton Rouge now to keep working on the script so I'll be off line until production- shooting start Nov. 15 in Baton Rouge.

Cooter...no idea. Enos...David Weston. Rosco...MC Gainey (I think) Cletus...no idea. Dolly Parton was being considered for Jesse's girlfriend, but I think they're going with Lynda Carter.

ok, news flash here...

I just got done talking to my &quot;contact&quot; on the &quot;inside&quot;... there are MORE then 20 General Lee Chargers... about 1/2 are 68s, and 1/2 are 69s, and a few 70s tossed into the middle. There will be at least 5 (FIVE!!!) jumps!!! Some of the bigger ones may be &quot;cable&quot; type jumps, but hopefully there will be stuntman jumps also. The cop cars will be current style crown vics mostly, but there may be some older caprices also. Cooter might be driving a late 70s chevy tow truck, and plans are for Boss to drive a 70 or so white caddy, and daisy a Jeep.. but details are not known yet.. at least not by me! <LOL> All locations will be around Louisiana, but I am not allowed to devulge the locations... due to them not wanting 5000 fans standing around while they are trying to film. After the shooting is done, I will let you know what towns are used. Plus I will post photos of the locations if I can get some. (I am working on getting shots ahead of time from some local contacts) The basic story line is that Boss wants to sell Hazzard to a strip mining company, and uses the dukes history of running and making shine as a excuse to confiscate the farm. I know there will be a funny scene around Boss Hogg's caddy, a scene on a college campus, a scene around a old wooden bridge, a gravel pit, a bar (boars nest is my guess), and a &quot;rally&quot; type race. Sometime this week I am going to give the location scout a call, to see if I can get anything out of him<LOL> as far as photos, and such. According to my source, and John Schnieder (via a interview I found) the script is really good, as long as the directors and actors do it right. Filming will begin November 8th or 15th depending on who you ask, but I know Jessica Simpson is already in Louisiana and shopping at the local Walmart for stuff for the house she bought/rented down there. Burt and Willie are expected to arrive on the 15th. The General Lees and cop cars are in various stages of construction currently. Well, thats it for now..... keep the shiny side up, and the dirty side down... I'm gone!!!

p.s. Oh yeah.. almost forgot, today the Talent Agent contacted me from Louisiana, and I am the newest cast member!!!! OK, I may not be headlining.. but if you squint really hard, you may see me in a crowd scene or something! Hoping for the best as far as what my part will be in this movie... but also being a realist... unless Johnny Knoxville breaks his leg while falling on every other person that vaguely resembles Luke Duke... I dont expect any miracles... or lines...or closeups. <LOL>
