HADDOCK/McLEOD PLAZA DEDICATION & the THE 1934 ROBBERY-TALK BY LISA BREMS

2/2/1934 3 men and a woman attempted to rob the Needham Trust Company They got only a small amount, but in their escape, they shot and killed Officers McLeod and Haddock. The criminals were caught and in a little over a year, executed by the electric chair. The woman served about a year, released and dissappeared. A dedication service was held at the plaza named for the two policemen.
On 2/2/2009 a memorial service was held at the plaza, being the 75th anniversary of the tragic event.
