Open from June thur Sept., they are open partially from 10/1 to 15th, and we were their the 10/1, got in for 1/3rd regular price, and found it to be better--no crowd, streets more realistic with fewer tourists, and enough open so we never felt short changed1 And the digital camera gave me pictures that I had never achieved with film, shooting without flash, leaving off the "burned out" spots on pictures of pictures, etc. This fortress is a restoration of the fort on these grounds in 1713 built by the French after they lost Newfoundland. It is now one of the largest historic reconstructions in North Aamerica.
