Then on our way to the Cairngorms where we stayed 2 nights In Kingussie, visited the Dalwhinnie distillery of course and Ruthven barracks...before heading to London! No pictures taken there this time...instead we did some shopping and we had a fabulous Indian meal to celebrate my birthday!

From the house in Annat via coastal route to Poolewe - Loch Maree - Gruinard bay - Little Loch Broom - Loch Broom - Ullapool - Drumrunie - Stac Pollaidh - and finally the new house in Altandhu

Glen Torridon offers some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland. The ancient Lewisian gneisses are over 2 billion years, on top of these are Torridonian rocks of 700 million years old and the youngest are the pale grey Cambrian Quartzites at 570 million years old.
Torridon is one of my favourite areas in Scotland despite the weather being unpredictable...the light and colours can be stunning.
