Album 1: pictures taken on our way from FOLKESTONE and DOVER to ST ALBANS , MILTON KEYNES and LEAMINGTON.

From home to Calais, crossing with Eurotunnel to Folkestone.
Spending 2 nights at the Burlington Hotel, built in the 1880's for the Earl of Radnor, this impressive Victorian Edwardian listed building offers panoramic views overlooking the famous leas Promenade, across Folkestone and the English Channel and was great fun to stay at!
We drove via St.Albans to Milton Keynes and then to Leamington Spa.

:) Wonder his thoughts  LOL!!!===========he is probably wondering why it takes so long to boil some asparagus and make some poached eggs to go with it? lolThis is at my daughters...we always stop for a day or two on our way up North! we do not get to see her a lot ..it is a time consuming voyage, my Peter does not wanna fly!

This is one impressive hotel.----yes, it is in The Leas, a part of Folkestone that has loads of these type of hotels built in Victorian times when the harbour area was full and too many visitors wanted to enjoy the seaviews!...Gorgeous, next to the promenade!  We stayed one night before going on to see our daughter and then further to Scotland.

I think this is an older church Peter. Very ornate vault very high and difficult to photograph. Is St Albans just north of London? --------------yes Steve, it is. It is a wonderful church...very special!
