I love old oaks...there were a few here but this one was the grandest! We parked the car under it to keep it cool!
Peter once parked his car (previous one) under a chestnut tree...not the smartest thing to do as it was windy and our car had over 30 bumps in the roof!

Looks like someone with a shotgun was having a little target practice. Common sight on signs around here.

That's quite a mixture of geese there. Some graylags, I think, but the white bar behind the beak bothers me. Dunno about the white ones...some domestic breed I'll bet. And it looks like one Barnacle Goose to the right. It looks like a smaller Canada Goose, doesn't it?
