This is a view back to where I just came from (Sacramento Pass). There's a 15-mile wide desert valley (Snake Valley) between this range (Schell Creek Range) and the one on the horizon. On the way down from that range I established a new personal speed record on bicycle: 49 mph! Yee-haa! Notice the old highway 50 snaking along the new one in the canyon in the center.
