Hi, The 57 Ford Country Squire belonged to myself and family. We sold it in order to buy our first house. That was a sad but necessary day. It was nice to see it on your site and read your comments. I have since been fortunate enough to find another Squire as nice as that 57. It is a 59 and is 100% original. It also has never been restored and looks as good as the 57 did. I have sent a pic. I guess we will see you at Doheny next year. Take care. Robert Legg.
Just came accross the picture of your 49 Plymouth while surfing. This is what I hope mine will look like in a couple of years. There are not too many of these gems around. Mine needs total resto from the ground up. It was pretty complete. Only missing the center section of the rear bumper and a jump seat. I will start a site of my own when I have some progress to show. It's a great inspiration to see a car like yours and that keeps me going for now. Gerry
Many thanks Dave for the picture. Our woodie left that afternoon for a 11,000 mile trip around the USA. I have submitted stories to SoCal's Wood Matters, Santa Cruz's Termite Times and the Woodie Times describing the 7 week trip' experiences. Had a ball, no troubles with the 50 Ford and Flo is still talking to me after 40 years of marriage! The hood ornament is my design and doing and has definitely attracted cameras and some attention.
