    Dam

It's definitely Cheoah. Santeetlah is a few miles back, closer to Robbinsville (I'm from Murphy originally) and the road doesn't really go in front of Santeetlah like that... This is one of the easiest to photograph in the area. (By the way, I think it and the 2 children dams further downstream (Calderwood and Chilhowee) are owned by the Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA) and they use it for generating electricity for refining aluminum at Alcoa, TN.

    Cheers!

    Dam

This is CHEOAH DAM. it is the same dam that Harrison Ford jumped off of in the movie "The Fugitive." Watch the movie and you will recognize it. They did some hollywood stuff to make it look like he jumps out of a tunnel at the top of the dam. There is no tunnel.

    Holcomb's Custard Stand

It's me again. Up here in Vermont we call "custards" creemies. If you come up here just look for a creemie stand.

    Tunnel

Man does this bring back memories! I was here 4 years ago. I remember the tunnel. Unfortunately, I picked a day when the clouds were below 5000 feet so all I got was fog and a tunnel.
