He broke his leg on July 9, 2005. It was a severe break just below the hock and the Vet said he didn't think there was anything to do. I begged for him to try and knew it would be a long journey to save him but we did it. I opted to go with the cast instead of the surgery and rod. We battled cast sores but got through it. Valle was the PERFECT patient. Stayed content to do nothing but stand in his stall for nearly a year. He has made a FULL recovery with full use of his leg and is still breeding mares and producing beautiful babies...
