German Angel is the first Hispanic Television host to win the Long Beach "LB. Award" twice, during the 20th and 21st Annual Awards for Excellence in producing multi-cultural community oriented television programs. German has achieved local recognition for his ability to represent real life subjects with frankness while sympathizing with his guest and allowing them to reveal their dilemmas.

German Angel first appeared on public access television in Long Beach California Charter Communications channels 65.95.69 Today, Angel is on television in 57 communities, including Los Angeles, New York City, the Washington D.C. area, and Austin, Texas.

"El Cucuy" said he devised the idea of telling protesters to wear white and carry flags to symbolize their peaceful intent and love of the United States. He also urged parents to bring their children to minimize chances of violence and reminded everyone to bring plenty of water and trash bags.
