- All my life I've dreamed of being a classic car owner. Since that can't happen, I have decided to photograph as many of them as I can.
Some random stats as of July 18th, 2012: I have photo documented 1,106 fully identifiable cars, covering 1900-2012 (and several horse-powered vehicles before that). 101 car companies are fully documented (Year/model known) and I have shot at least one car from every year from 1920-1988. - albums: 26

- Pictures taken at the various 1:1 car shows I've been to, car Museums and random shots of cars. I've been a fan of the automobile my whole life, in fact, my life is pretty much built around cars...my lifelong dream is to own a classic car, preferably from the 1950s but I'd be happy for a 70s or 80s Ford wagon, too!

- I've gone with my brother a few times to look for long lost family members. I have been inspired to join Find-A-Grave ( http://www.findagrave.com ) and document as many people as I can. As you can tell from some other sections of my Fotki, I'm big on documenting- I've even dubbed myself "The Mad Documenter" (think mad scientists, not angry) and I feel the need to document people. I have a feeling that if I don't, no one else will...and I would hate for people to be forgotten, even if I don't actually know them or anyone in their family.

- I LOVE driving around and photo documenting the sights. It's become one of my favorite things to do.

| | | - Dutchess County Exploration
- On March 1st of 2020, my brother and I took a driving tour of Route 97, and I really enjoyed it. I hatched a plan to visit every place in Dutchess County NY, my home, in the days that followed...and then the pandemic hit. I put off the idea because I figured if I saw somewhere I wanted to go into, I couldn't at the time. But I rethought the idea- nowhere in the county is too far to get back to- and decided to take the rides anyway, starting in January 2021. The intent is to visit every named town, village, etc. in the county, even if just driving through. This is a spin-off of the Places I've Been project, focusing solely on my home area.

- I've always enjoyed photography (as should be obvious if you are looking at my website! :) ) and I've always enjoyed photographing my surroundings. Since I was diagnosed with Diabetes in 2013, I have been forced to walk more. One of my goals is to travel to various parts of my home state and take as many photos as I possibly can. They will go here, as well as the hundreds of photos I'd already taken of my surroundings over the past decades.

- My favorite place to be! I've been to Lake George every year of my life, and, if I could afford it, I'd be there a lot more than I usually am.

- In July 2012 I partially redid my Fotki. As scale modeling is just a portion of my life, I don't feel that it really should have had such an overwhelming dominance of my Fotki page, and have now moved them into a modeling section like my other hobbies have. They still have other sections, like for the two clubs I belong to and shows, and my builds still maintain their spot on the main page, though.

- All museum trips except car museums, which have a folder in Automotive Photography section. I really enjoy museums, and will visit any and all, no matter how much interest I have in the subject going in.

| | | - My Action Figure collection
- For many years I was a collector of action figures. I remember very well playing with my GI Joe, DC and Star Wars figures when I was young. Even after I stopped playing with them, I still collected them, and, since I don't see them very often- some I have not seen in over two decades, and I'm not even sure I'll be able to find to photograph- I do want to document them so I can look at them any time on my Fotki.
Also, I have absolutely no clue how many figures I have for each line...and I would like to know. Instead of actually having to count them, I can eliminate the chance for human error by just seeing how many photos are in each album. I love it when I can get the computer to do my thinking for me. - albums: 25
| | | - My Comic Collection
- My oldest hobby, as I had my first comic read to me when I was 5 days old, and have never stopped. I credit growing up around comics as a major contributor to my lexicon- and also my tendency to end sentences with an exclamation point! One of the only hobbies where I don't think the 1990s is the best decade, unusually. Most of my comics are in deep storage, and I have not seen them for over a decade...eventually I will get them out and scan them. I (finally) created this folder, and all the albums, on 1/11/14. (I've been thinking about creating it for about a year, and finally did it!)

| | | - My Diecast Collection
- I have been collecting 1/64 NASCAR diecast since 12/26/92. It is my primary hobby and how I discovered the sport.
I don't know when I started collecting street cars-possibly as far back as 1985. I also have my brother's collection. I pretty much stopped collecting street cars in 2000, but I have slowly gotten back into it over the past few years. It's a lot cheaper and easier to store than full size cars.
My primary collection will always be NASCAR, though.
I take Christmas 1985 as the date I started collecting. I am not sure if it's correct but that's the date I go by. - subfolders: 12 and albums: 12

I have been collecting cards as long as I can recall...I got this crazy idea to scan them all...
I have not seen some of these cards for nearly two decades so I don't expect this to be complete anytime soon. It's an on-going project. It will be a fun adventure to see what is in each box as I dig them out of long-term storage. Each scan has to be edited three ways and labeled so it's also not a quick process. And there is the constant problem of dust on the scanner and the standard card pages I use to scan them in! They are like magnets for dust...
My first cards were the 1988 Leesley Bigfoot cards, which I got new. Then I took on NASCAR in 1993, after discovering the sport at Christmas 1992. Around 1995 I stopped the non-sports (unfortunatly) totally, in April 1996 I took up NBA basketball cards and didn't pay too much attention to NASCAR and none at all to non-sports at the time. Eventually, I quit basketball in 2006, but NASCAR sustained me as I had refocued on them in 2003, though I had always gotten a pack or two, or more from some sets that I really liked, from 96-03. I also purchased a full 5000 count box for $25 at a card show that gave me a decent run of cards from some 90s sets. 2007 and 2008 I was out of the hobby almost totally, in 2009 I came back, and since 2010 I've actually been focusing more on non-sports than NASCAR, mainly due to the fact that I can't stand Press Pass, the only company doing the NASCAR cards. I'm also trying to make up for the lost time I was out of that segment of the hobby. The non-sports cards also have a very long, rich history, dating back to 1879, although the oldest I've got at the time of typing this (August 27th, 2012) is from 1952. (1948 if you count the entire collection of NBA, NASCAR and non-sports) - subfolders: 12 and albums: 23

- This is my favorite section on my Fotki. Nature photography is the most fun to take and the most fun for me to look at. There are trips I've been on and even some my family went on before I was born in here...I don't travel much anymore, but I did a bit of it in the early to mid 2000s.

- Most of my life is built around various hobbies...it's not like I can do a whole lot else...some of them don't have enough photo albums to get a section so they are combined here. I actually spend the most time reading, and I've recently begun to photograph the books in my collection.

- In 2018 we leased a car that has a GPS built in, and it shows whatever town you happen to be in. In October 2019, I decided to photograph each town we went through on the way to Toledo for the NNL Nationals. I've decided I really enjoy doing this and plan to photograph every place I go...unfortunately, I didn't think to start doing it sooner so there's a lot of places missing. I don't even have some of the places I go all the time, but that will change.

- By model company. This resurrects an old idea. Luckily, I didn't delete the albums when I moved the folder into my Private home, they all were last updated in 2005, and most of my kits were purchased before then, so I didn't have much work to do the update them, and was able to accomplish it all on 12/10/11.

I joined the TNMCC in March 2002, and can honestly say I would have quit building if not for my friends in the club. I'm also the webmaster for the club, but I'm not very good at it. Essentially it means I pay for our hosting instead of paying dues.

- Nature Shots and trips, always my favorite section on Fotki, got too full, so I broke out the Trips from the Nature Shots into this new section on October 10th, 2018. In late 2018 my brother started taking me on adventures. I don't know what they are before hand, but they are always fun. Also see the museum section.

The bugs photographed several times are 17-year cicadas, a rare sight. They have not been around since 1996, and we won't see them again until 2025! Paint Chart and Paint Collection -
Back when I first started building, I used a comic book backing board and drew small squares, filling them with each diffrent color, effectivly making a paint chart. Unfortunatly, I have misplaced it and not seen it in a few years.
On May 31st, 2006, I set out to recreate that chart.
It involved sorting my entire brush paint collection and shaking up some bottles that in some instances had not been touched since 2001.
This time I used two magazine sized backing boards, one for enamel paints and one for acrylics.
I am still trying to determine a way to make a chart for my rattle cans....
