    Dorstenia lavrani (3)
I need to buy a male Dorstenia lavrani to make my female plant happy.  I read you have to be very careful that you are actually getting a male plant and not another female.  Any suggestions how I can definitely find a male plant?  I'm very hesitant to buy seeds.  Why do they sell seeds more often and not plants???

    Dorstenia ellenbeckiana

If you have any seeds from this one too, or possibly some seedlings, I'd be interested to buy.

    Dorstenia horwoodii spontaneous seedlings
Is there a trick to pollinating D. Horwoodii? I have had one for three years now, and although it is flowering whenever it is growing, I have never gotten a single seed from it. Are they dioecious? I am having great difficulty finding any information on this species. any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

    Dorstenia elata
    Hello Marc,
Good to see you are a Dorstenia lover! It is an interesting group. The species you showed above is not D.elata, but Dorstenia bahiensis. If you want to talk about these species, write to my email. I have some interesting pictures of Dorstenias.

    Hello Marcelo,
Sorry but my Dorstenia is definitely a D. elata!
The D. bahiensis has a pinkish inflorescence, the D. elata one is almost black (very dark violet)
I'd like to have some seeds of D. bahiensis!
